The owner of the hair salon Up to You completed a 14-month trip traveling around the world and giving haircuts to 1,000 people starting from April 2014.
This salon opened from April 2016 in Koenji based on the concept of taking trips and being at home. Up to You wants people to be able to relax like they are at their friend’s house and they want to create a place which can be enjoyed by those who aren’t particularly fond of hair salons. That is why they provide an at-home atmosphere you can’t find anywhere else with events such as international exchanges with foreign customers and services such as ordering beer during your haircut. Many people come here just to hang out so you don’t need to get a haircut! The staff speaks English so foreigners can also have a good time here.
