The large-scale apparel company Onward Kashiyama is holding collections of its clothing produced from 2009. This shop is the first in the apparel industry to collect used clothing, re-sell it at charity prices as reused goods and use the profits to make contributions to the environment and social action programs.
Other contributions are made to the environment such as using items like hangers, chairs, register counters and writing materials which are made from thinned wood and using shopping bags made of old rice inside the store.
The items are divided into brand names enabling coordinating outfits with each brand such as 23ku and KUMIKYOKU. In addition to ladies apparel, the store also carries men’s apparel, kids’ apparel and sundries making this a place for the whole family.
