In addition to vintage secondhand clothing, this popular shop offers a selection of various sundries, utensils and even furniture which is typical of the general merchandise Shangri-la that is Kichijoji.
The basis of the store is “Items which can be incorporated into parts of one’s lifestyle”. Of course the items can be used by everyone. However, each marvelous item can also be thoroughly used as an object for display. The 1st floor carries clothing, sundries and utensils. The 2nd floor has items such as furniture. In addition to tables and chairs, there are items such as lighting fixtures, flowerpots, door knobs, sofas and even bicycles on this floor.
garnish opened in 2006 and will be in business for its 7th year this year. At first, garnish was below ground under Mt. Gotenyama beside Inokashira Park. 3 years ago the location was moved to Nakamichi Dori. The Nakamichi Dori shopping district is the longest in Kichijoji. garnish is a little seperated from the station but the walk along the brick path of the shopping district should put you in a good mood and take away your troubles. Your spirits may be raised even higher when you see the exterior of this lovely shop.
